Quick summary: New Haven dealers win on "near me" and on the towns around the city, because almost nobody types "New Haven" into a dealer search. When we searched "toyota dealer new haven ct" on October 6, 2026, Google showed no map pack at all, only website results. We ran the Toyota search signed out, from outside the city. Google placed the searcher in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. This is what came back:

Google can skip the map when one business closely matches the search. The second result matters more: a dealer from another town held it with a page written for New Haven buyers.
The same New Haven store did appear in a map pack that day: our "toyota dealer bridgeport ct" capture returned three franchised stores, and one was labeled New Haven.
Our second New Haven search, for used cars, was stopped by a Google verification page. We did not try to get around it, so this page has no used car pack counts.
Where are the dealers around New Haven?
Kelley Blue Book's dealer directory for New Haven led its list with a franchised store on Derby Avenue in West Haven, 2 miles from the center. Hamden and West Haven each have more than 55,000 residents and together hold about 117,000, close to the city's own 134,023.
Interstates 95 and 91 meet in New Haven, and the West, Mill and Quinnipiac rivers run to the harbor. Fair Haven sits across the Mill River from downtown and the East Shore sits across the Quinnipiac, and buyers pick a lot on their own side.
