What local SEO covers for law firms in Nevada

Local SEO for law firms in Nevada is four jobs done every month: managing the Google Business Profile, earning and answering reviews, cleaning up citations and directory listings, and tracking rank on a map grid. In Nevada, this page adds the local detail: the seven items Rule 7.2 requires in an ad, the 15-day State Bar filing, why websites are treated differently, and the markets. The method itself, including categories, review rules and the directories that matter, is on our local SEO for law firms page. The Local SEO program starts at $850/mo per location and needs a verified profile at a real address, at least 10 reviews and a 3.5-star or better rating.

What do Nevada's advertising rules require of a law firm?

Rules 7.1 to 7.4 of the Nevada Rules of Professional Conduct apply. Six points come up in SEO work.

Six Nevada lawyer advertising requirements from Rules 7.2, 7.2A and 7.4
RuleWhat it saysWhere it shows up in SEO
7.2(b)An ad identifies at least one lawyer responsible for its content, and discloses the use of an actorFooter, landing pages, video
7.2(b)Past-results ads carry a disclaimer that past results do not guarantee, warrant, or predict future casesCase results pages
7.2(b)Contingency-fee ads disclaim that the client may be liable for the opposing parties' fees and costs. Fee ads state how long the fee is in effect"No fee unless we win" lines, flat-fee pages
7.2(c) and (d)Disclaimers appear in each language used and are reasonably prominent and clearly legibleSpanish-language pages
7.2AFile a copy with the State Bar within 15 days of first dissemination. Websites are not considered advertisements subject to filingPaid ads, video, billboards
7.4Specialist claims require a third of the practice in the field for two years, 10 education hours, $500,000 of liability insurance, and the certifying organization's nameBios and practice-area pages

The website is exempt from filing, not from the rules. Rule 7.2A leaves websites out of the filing requirement. The content requirements in Rule 7.2 still apply, so the responsible lawyer, the results disclaimer, and the contingency fee disclaimer belong on the site.

Paid ads are filed. A search ad, a display ad, or a video is not a website. Ask whoever runs your campaigns whether each one was filed within 15 days.

Disclaimers follow the language. Las Vegas firms advertise heavily in Spanish. Each disclaimer must appear in the language of the ad. A translated landing page with English-only disclaimers does not comply.

"Specialist" has conditions. Rule 7.4 sets practice share, education, and insurance requirements and a registration fee. Use "we handle" on practice-area pages unless a lawyer meets them.

This is a summary, not legal advice. Read the current rule before you publish.

How do Nevada's legal markets differ?

Bar chart of 2020 census populations for Las Vegas, Henderson, and Reno

Nevada has 17 counties in 11 judicial districts. Two metros hold nearly all the legal search demand.

  • Las Vegas. "Personal injury lawyer las vegas" gets about 2,300 searches a month in the United States. Clark County had 2,265,461 residents in 2020 and 38.5 million people visited Las Vegas in 2025, so injured visitors search from hotels and from home after they leave. Pages should say you handle claims for people who live out of state.
  • Henderson. Nevada's second-largest city, at 317,610. Residents search "Henderson" by name and prefer an office there.
  • Reno. About 400 searches a month for the same phrase, with an Ahrefs difficulty score of 63 out of 100. A smaller market with established firms.
